Looking for studying abroad? Consider USA! As a former UGrad
student I can vouch for the academic quality of the Universities there. The
rich cultural experience, the plethora of options, and the classroom experience
are none like you have seen before. For masters I can say it only gets better.
I know you have already heard about the various pros and
cons of studying abroad like the value the degree holds, the experience and
networking opportunities but with very little focus on personal growth. I, for
one can tell you this is THE most important gain.
America being the “Melting Pot” is the perfect place to
learn about various cultures and ethnicities. All racial stereotypes and
prejudices you have been holding are soon ‘unlearnt’. You get to meet new
people from around the world, join them in their activities, and be a part of
their community (temporarily at least). Respect and tolerance for others
increases.
What you learn may not be tangible but it stays with you
forever. Opening yourself to the world is the best way to learn, not just about
others but about yourself as well. If you haven’t made up your mind yet, I
don’t know what you’re waiting for. Grab your passport, pack your luggage and
get going already!
