Students who want to do masters in US need to start the process one year ahead as it gives a chance to increase your test scores and also financial aid from the university.
- Students need to take GRE test along with English proficiency test such as TOEFL or IETLS. Students with 300+ GRE score would get admission to decent university in US. By writing the test one year ahead gives an opportunity to re-attempt if one gets less score. There are also good set of universities for certain programs accept applications without GRE such as MIT Electrical and Computer Science programs, California State University for Civil Engineering program
- Students also need to plan whether they need to apply for Fall intake or Spring Intake. Fall intake have more chances of getting financial aid
- Along with test score students need to submit various documents such as Letter of Recommendations, Statement of Purpose, Transcripts which are very important for getting an admission
- Once the students receives the admission from particular university i.e. I-20 they need to apply for Student Visa
